Puxi Campus Grade 6: Youth Development Class —Good Manners Matter

September 10, 2024

With the start of the new semester, sixth-grade students are embracing their middle school life. In addition to new academic challenges, they also participated in a youth development class focused on safety and etiquette. This course was designed to help students grasp essential knowledge through engaging activities tailored to their needs.

The class covered basics like avoiding inappropriate language and not interrupting others, as well as tackling the more complex issues of digital etiquette. Topics included how to respond to late-night homework inquiries, handle forwarded images with teasing content, deal with gossip or personal photos turned into memes, and safely navigate interactions with strangers in online games.

Through interactive sessions, group discussions, and fun games, students learned practical strategies for handling different situations, preparing them for challenges they may face in the future.

While these two classes have concluded, the lessons on safety and etiquette will continue to guide the students. We hope they will carry this knowledge forward, integrating it into their daily lives as they grow.
