2024 House Program Commencement and First Mentor-student Meet Held

On the morning of September 27, the classrooms within the Zhongxing Building were filled with the vibrant energy of a new academic year, welcoming the first gathering of mentors and students for the 2024 SHSID House Program. This semester's program brings together 49 outstanding Chinese and foreign mentors from interdisciplinary fields, who have planned guidance paths based on their individual expertise and interests by offering detailed personal profiles. Mentor Introductions were released to students in Grades 9 and 10 for them to make informed choices after a comprehensive understanding.




This year, the themes of each House are even more diverse and enriching, encompassing both specialized explorations in academic fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, environment, economics, and history, as well as practical strategies for high school career planning and preparation, like scientific exploration and business competitions. Moreover, there are Houses focused on enhancing abilities and skills, including academic writing, creative literary composition, and second language proficiency, offering a comprehensive and meticulous curriculum.


The mentors introduced the unique charm of their respective Houses and the exciting plans for upcoming activities, reiterating the core task list for the first semester. This includes seminars, lectures, fun activities, PA lectures and sharing sessions, company visits, and the G9 Freshman Project tailored specifically for G9 students. We hope that House activities will broaden the horizons of the students, provide them with resources, and enable them to enjoy the high school life in a better way. The program endeavors to ensure that during their high school journey, students not only acquire knowledge but also enjoy the process, leaving behind unforgettable memories.
