SHSID Principal Forum Focusing on Students' Diversified and Individualized Needs
Recently, SHSID successfully held two distinctive principal forums aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of students' diversified needs. High School Principal Ma Feng engaged in cordial exchanges and communication with student representatives.
On October 18, the first Principal Forum was held in Conference Room 201 of the Xianmian Building. This forum focused on the personalized development of students with talents in music, sports, and arts. During the meeting, student representatives spoke up actively, sharing their experience and challenges regarding daily training, academic planning, study-life balance, and competition opportunities. Principal Ma listened attentively to the students' presentations and expressed the school's full support for talented students participating in various competitive events. He encouraged students to gain experience and grow through diverse sports, music, and art activities, broadening their horizons through exchanges. At the same time, Principal Ma emphasized the school's attention to balancing extracurricular activities and academic studies. The school will make its best efforts to provide necessary resources and support, and the door to the Directors' Office is always open to students for communication and consultation.
On October 22, the second Principal Forum was held as scheduled, with the active participation of the student representatives with talents in humanities and social sciences. Students shared their thoughts and suggestions regarding club establishment, course selection, and competition guidance. Principal Ma encouraged students to find projects suitable for themselves when faced with diverse activity and competition information, thereby gaining more opportunities for exercise and display. The school also has professional career guidance teachers to provide information and consultation for students. He encouraged students to read more and cultivate their reading interest to improve their writing ability and depth of expression. Additionally, Principal Ma expressed expectations for students of grades 9 and 10, hoping they would develop good classroom and study habits in their academics, laying a solid foundation for subsequent high school courses.
The Principal Forum, held once every semester, is not only a window for communication but also an important way for the school to listen to students' voices and pay attention to their needs. In the future, SHSID will continue to uphold the educational philosophy of "Contributing to the personal and lifelong development of every student" and provide students with better and more personalized educational services.
