Grade 9 Assembly：Opportunities from Various Clubs

Grade 9 students attended their sixth weekly assembly on October 22, 2024. Several school clubs introduced themselves and announced opportunities for students to get involved.


Cyano, a club dedicated to gardening and sustainability announced open positions in their new gardening, media, and activities departments. While the SHSID Poster and Design service group explained their past roles in creating posters and designs for previous school events. Offering leadership positions and service hours, they encouraged students to join if they were interested or wished to take part in the designing process of the high school yearbook.


Next, the Dream Workers club, dedicated to raising awareness for Down syndrome and Autism, shared their mission to improve the lives of children with intellectual disabilities. They have previously collaborated with various schools and organizations, and encouraged students to join in on their projects.


Last but not least, the school’s upcoming event, Bitday, was introduced. Set on October 24, Bitday will feature STEM-related activities such as Python Kahoot and GPT-generated riddles. The mini-program STEMdoge was also promoted, announcing an online computer science trivia challenge running from October 22 to 24.
