September 13, 2024

On the morning of September 10, the students of Grade 9 gathered in the Lecture Hall of Zhongxing Building for the second weekly assembly of the school year.

First, Ms. Ma from the TA office introduced the Peer Advisor program, a program crucial to high school study and life. This student program provides students with after-school lectures and activities focused on students' interests and produces high-quality interview articles.

Next, the seniors promoted two student organizations, the Youth Advocacy Coalition (YAC) and the Mock Trial Club. The YAC focuses on giving voice to the students and strives to build a platform for students to express their creativity freely. This community attracts not only writers and artists but also musicians, athletes, and actors.

Alex, the president of the Mock Trial Club, then demonstrated the unique mock court setting with a talk-show-style speech with Annie. Students will develop their oratorical skills through this activity greatly. The club's excellent results in competitions also added to its competitiveness and fame.

The assembly made the student audience more eager to try to participate in the various activities that SHSID has to offer, and the assembly played out with plenty of joy.
