Grade 12 Assembly: Knowing More about Animal Welfare

October 29, 2024

On October 25, Celene shared information on animal welfare during the 12th-grade morning assembly, aiming to promote pet adoption and animal protection. She began by sharing her own experience of adopting a dog, offering personal insights into the joy and responsibility of pet ownership. Celene recounted her childhood dream of having a dog, which finally came true when she adopted a mixed-breed dog at an adoption event. With her pet by her side, she discovered the joy pets bring to daily life, as well as the commitment and care they require.

During the assembly, Celene provided practical information on the adoption process. She explained that animal adoption includes both online and in-person channels. The information provides students interested in adoption with a useful starting guide.

In addition to her personal story, Celene introduced a student-run animal welfare organization in which she actively participates. The organization is dedicated to protecting stray animals and raising awareness through article writing, shelter visits, and interviews with animal advocates.

Following the assembly sharing, many students expressed that they gained valuable insights—not only about pet adoption but also about balancing responsibility with personal well-being.  The assembly provided an engaging atmosphere for students to learn about animal protection and sparked interest in pet adoption and animal welfare initiatives.
