Grades 11-12: Getting Ready for Tomorrow — 2024 Career Day Held
On October 30, Grade 11 and 12 students participated in their annual Career Day activities, with guest speakers from diverse industries gathering in the Xianmian Building to share their career journeys and expertise. Each student selected two sessions based on their interests, gaining insights into essential skills and future career paths.
This year’s Career Day featured 21 professionals presenting on topics such as psychology, biology, career planning, finance, capital markets, big data and AI, art, real estate, logistics, new energy vehicles, IT, and surveying technology. Covering both popular and cutting-edge fields, the sessions met a wide range of student interests.
As the day unfolded, students joined various sessions, where speakers from new energy, AI, real estate, and hospitality discussed trends and opportunities in their fields. The speakers’ firsthand experiences brought industries to life; from a guest speaker sharing his role in the Shanghai Museum’s Egyptian exhibit to an IT professional showcasing AI capabilities with a live-generated slideshow. Students listened intently, asked questions, and gained invaluable guidance for their own career aspirations.
By the final bell, Career Day had sparked excitement and left students feeling prepared and motivated to explore their futures.
