Middle School Section | Words Weave the World!--English Speech Contest

After nearly a month of selection, a total of 20 talented students from grades 6, 7, and 8 of the Middle School stood out from their peers and successfully advanced to the final round of the English Storytelling Competition.


The topics of the English Storytelling Competition were designed by the teachers of the junior high school section to fit the teaching characteristics of the students' grades, and also greatly stimulated the creative desire of the high level students. For example, the science fiction theme of Grade 6, the love and responsibility theme of Grade 7, and the thriller and suspense theme of Grade 8 had a high demand on students' English writing skills, and at the same time,  posed a great test and challenge to their presentation skills. The wonderful interpretation of the contestants did not disappoint the audience. A heart-wrenching story, really for all the teachers and students on the stage, presented a wonderful audio-visual feast, all the teachers are proud of it.


After fierce competition, the results were finally announced: 6(2) Ethan, 6(5) Irina, 6(2) Elaine won the First, Second and Third place in Grade 6 H/H+ level; 6(2) Susan, 6(10) Sophie, 6(1) Nikki won the First, Second and Third place in Grade 6 S/S+ level; 7(4) Serena, 7(7) Emily and 7(1) Althea won the First, Second and Third place at the 7th grade H/H+ level; 7(11) Yaya, 7(7) Zeling , 7(6) Carolin won the First, Second and Third place at the 7th grade S/S+ level; 8(6) Mengling, 8(8) Fiona, 8(1) Sunny won the First, Second and Third place at the 8th grade H/H+ level, 8(2) Jun received Honorable Mention; 8(7) Emily, 8(5) William, 8(4) Joyce won the First, Second and Third place at the 8th grade S/S+ level, and 8(4) Alice received Honorable Mention.



The English Storytelling Competition provided students with the best stage to showcase themselves and practice their English expression skills. Although the exciting and tense competition came to an end, the creative and speaking journey belonging to the students has just begun. We are looking forward to the emergence of the next outstanding storytelling talent.
