Social Sciences Department: Warmth and Hugs in Xianmian Building

At the beginning of November, the psychology teachers of the Social Sciences Department made the walls of Xianmian Building look fresh and warm through careful design, so that the whole building exuded more positive atmosphere. Signs such as "You are unique" and "I can do amazing things if I keep trying" were posted on the walls to continuously strengthen students' self-awareness, stimulate their inner motivation for learning, and help them believe in and release their unlimited potential.




The lobby area of Xianmian Building were also carefully set up with a meaningful "Take What You Need" interactive wall. The interactive wall was designed around themes like "Strength & Confidence" and "Resilience & Balance". Inside the special brown paper bag were a number of sticks, each with a positive message written on it. Students could extract their own energy words from these paper bags according to their actual needs at the moment, and help themselves better face various challenges in learning and life through psychological encouragement.





During the mid-term exam week, the teachers also took turns dressing as lucky frogs and Baymax to high-five and hug the students at the entrance of Xianmian Building, cheering for the students, conveying warmth and blessings, and enhancing the students' sense of self-confidence. The activities designed by the psychology teachers were like a beam of light, illuminating the students' learning path, and also reminding them to pay attention to themselves and stay confident and positive.
