November 19, 2024

To enrich students' extracurricular lives and enhance their understanding and appreciation of nature, the 6th-grade students embarked on an exciting autumn excursion after their mid-term exams. The destination for this excursion was the renowned Chenshan Botanical Garden, where students participated in a series of engaging natural exploration activities.

On the day of the activity, under the guidance of their teachers, the students first engaged in the "Plant Exploration - Where Are the Magical Plants?" activity. By observing various types of plants, the students learned a great deal about plant growth habits and ecological characteristics.

Following this, during the "Plant Bookmark" session, the students created personalized plant-themed bookmarks, integrating the beauty of nature into their daily lives.

The most anticipated segment of the day was "Autumn Gathering: Natural Art Creation." Using leaves, fruits, and other natural materials collected from within the park, the students unleashed their imagination and creativity, producing numerous innovative art pieces. These works not only showcased the vibrant hues of autumn but also reflected the students' unique perceptions of natural beauty.

Additionally, the students took part in the "Autumn Color Card" activity, comparing leaves of different colors to learn basic principles of color coordination, further enhancing their aesthetic skills.

After the activities, the students brought their artistic creations back to school and displayed them in the corridor on the 3rd floor. This allowed students from other grades to appreciate these works and share in the charm of nature.

This autumn excursion was not only a delightful outdoor experience but also a vivid lesson in natural education. It allowed the students to enjoy themselves while deepening their understanding of the plant world and stimulating their creativity.
