Grade 12 CAS Activities: Side by Side Together
During the CAS period on November 13, students from 12th grade enjoyed three exciting class activities. When the bell rang, students rushed out of Xianmian Building to find their team members for rope skipping, Bingo, and Hands & Feet Hopscotch. Everyone was extremely excited to compete with other classes, but more importantly, to bond with their fellow homeroom peers.
The first major activity was rope skipping, which allowed 10 students from each class to work as a team. As each class practiced separately, we can see students working extra hard to make continuous jumps to not break the flow. Between each practice session, the students stood in a circle to discuss strategies that could help them perform better during the actual competition. When the rounds officially began, their classmates stood by their sides to provide them full support, cheering as each student made a successful jump. The second major activity was Bingo, which was adapted from tic-tac-toe. For this activity, two homerooms went against each other to see who could connect a series of 3 "dots" the most. This was a very exciting competition as students intensely ran back and forth from their spot to place down their cone. Within the three minutes, the students put in tremendous effort in placing down the cones. The final activity was Hands & Feet Hopscotch, a childhood memory of many students. The seniors had an amazing time as they tried their best to coordinate their balance and have fun with peers.
This CAS session was more than just a relaxation amidst the busy application season, but also a great opportunity for the seniors to bond with their peers. We hope to see the seniors engage in more class activities and enjoy themselves in the near future!
