Puxi Campus G7 |Explore the World of Light and Shadow—Student Animal Photography Competition
To stimulate students' artistic creativity, cultivate their ability to perceive and express beauty, capture beautiful moments through the lens, and showcase the unique perspectives and emotions of today’s young people, seventh-grade teachers organized a contest called, “Animal Star Photography” . The theme focused on exploring the fun of safari parks, while encouraging students highlight natures beautiful moments of close contact with animals.
After arriving at the zoo, students visited various exhibits in an orderly manner, led by teachers and tour guides. In the carnivore area, students observed lions, tigers, and other majestic predators. In the herbivore area, students visited with gentle animals like sika deer and zebras, experiencing the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature.
The most exciting part for students was the spectacular circus performance. Under the command of trainers, the smart and nimble animals performed a variety of challenging actions, such as balancing on balls, jumping, and rolling, which drew continuous applause from the audience. In the afternoon, students continued their zoo tour, coming into close contact with various rare animals.
They were reluctant to leave the safari park, but their cameras were filled with captivating photos of nature and a love of life. Back at school, students proudly shared the photos they had taken—some were silly, some were cute, and some even captured beautiful moments. Each photo had its own distinct character, adding character and depth to the photography competition.
There were 33 finalists. After a competitive judging process, the winners of this animal photography contest were as follows:
Most Popular – 7(3)Felix
Best Lighting – 7(9)Zoe
Best Expression of Emotion –7(9)Co-homeroom Teacher Mr. Helton
This photography competition was not only an opportunity for artistic expression, but also a practice in ecological education, encouraging young people to view the world with a more delicate and sensitive perspective. By telling the stories of animals through photography, students conveyed a positive message about protecting nature. These life-affirming images serve as a bridge connecting students to nature, fostering a greater sense of responsibility toward animals and the environment, and inspiring them to become better global citizens.
