November 29, 2024

On November 20th, under the warm autumn sun, the long-awaited autumn outing for the first to third graders of Shanghai High School International Division Puxi Campus finally arrived. In this golden season, the children set aside their books, rolled up their sleeves, and embarked on a joyful journey with their good friends.

The destination of the first graders was the child-friendly Baoyan Paradise. Upon entering the park, the children were instantly captivated by the dazzling rainbow slides and the intriguing pirate ship among other attractions, eagerly diving into the fun, with their laughter and cheerful voices filling the air with endless joy.

In the naughty kind area, the children excitedly navigated the colorful ocean ball pit, and freely unleashed their boundless energy. Elsewhere, in the simulated kitchen, groups of little chefs were making various delicious snacks, enjoying the fun of cooking and their faces brimming with satisfaction and pride.

And in the block building area, the children's creativity was fully displayed. They strategically stacked the blocks, constructing delicate little castles and towering skyscrapers, with small trains and airplanes weaving through the meticulously designed tracks.

The second graders visited the Lego Play Too. Filled with excitement and curiosity, the children embarked on a golden autumn adventure brimming with laughter and joy.

In Zone A, Bunny Kingdom, the children immersed themselves in a blend of nature and a whimsical wonderland. The desert-themed Forgotten Corner sparked their curiosity about dinosaur fossils and the mysteries of sand, with various sand-digging facilities providing endless fun. At Bunny Castle, the giant bunny became the center of their joy, while slides and climbing nets unleashed their energy. The racing arena was a fan favorite, as they drove bumper and pedal cars, experiencing the thrill of speed and excitement. Finally, at Melody Valley, the children cheered and leaped around the musical fountain, with their laughter echoing through the autumn breeze.

The children ventured into the fairy-tale-like Growth Land in Zone B. The Flying Adventurer's ultra-long zipline filled the air with their excited screams as they glided through the sky, experiencing the exhilaration of flight. At Dreamcatcher Net, they bounced on rainbow-colored cushions and climbed giant nets, frolicking like“little clouds” in the sky. Clever Corner offered a hands-on stage for creativity and wisdom. Using devices like the Archimedes water lift and water gates, the children learned mechanical principles and natural science while splashing and playing, earning a sense of achievement.

The third-grade students traveled to Shanghai Disney Town to explore SoReal VR, enjoying an immersive virtual reality experience and a unique autumn outing. In this magical space that blends technology and art, the children transformed into adventurers in the world of Journey to the West. Through VR technology, they took part in a series of exciting and challenging interactive activities. They wielded the "Golden Cudgel," worked together in teams to complete tasks, and marveled at the dreamlike beauty of the panoramic light and shadow show. The day was filled with laughter, sparking the students' imaginations and allowing them to gain knowlegde and friendship through exploration.

For this field trip, the school not only focused on enriching students' extracurricular experiences but also emphasized their sense of civility through etiquette education. Before the activity, teachers set clear expectations for students' behavior, encouraging them to treat others with respect and care for the environment. After the outing, students reflected on their performance through self-evaluation and recorded their most cherished moments, reinforcing the concept of civilized travel. This initiative not only fostered students' self-management skills but also turned the outing into a meaningful moral education lesson, leaving each student with unforgettable memories of growth.
