History and Geography Department: Lunchtime Lectures on History and Geography Themes

Lunchtime lectures on history and geography continued this semester. Through the House Program, teachers and students had a stage to show their love for the humanities and share their feelings, which attracted many students and teachers to come and listen to the lectures.


On October 18th, Ms. Zhou gave a House Lecture about the historical background of The Journey to the West, which followed the recent craze of the game “Black Myth Wukong” and discussed the realistic concern and reflection reflected behind the story of "Journey to the West"; on November 18th, Mr. Fang gave a PA lecture on the theme of “Zhu Yuanzhang's Reforms of the Central Government Policies,” which clarified the process of the evolution of the central government of the Ming Dynasty; On November 28, Ms. Yang Meng gave a House lecture on “China's National Jade Hetian Jade: Identification and Appraisal,” introducing the types and distribution of Hetian Jade based on geological knowledge and demonstrating the identification process with the help of a variety of professional instruments, which attracted many teachers to come and learn.
