IB B Internal Workshop Focused on Enhancing Second Language Acquisition Strategies
 On the morning of Friday, December 13, English and Chinese teachers from the IB B program gathered for an internal workshop aimed at reflecting on recent successes and strategizing for continued progress in language teaching. The session was led by three teachers from the High School English department, who guided the discussions and presentations throughout the event.

The session began with a presentation on "Building on Success: Effective Strategies for IB B Excellence," which reviewed strengths demonstrated in the 2024 IB B English exam. Mr. Johns highlighted key teaching methods that contributed to student success and recommended strategies for continued improvement. A discussion followed, providing participants with the opportunity to share ideas and refine these approaches.

The next session focused on addressing areas of concern identified in the exam results. Mr. Mathews proposed actionable steps, using example papers to spark further discussion on how educators could adapt their methods to effectively address these challenges.

The final presentation introduced fresh perspectives from the 2024 Fall IB Training. New strategies for teaching both IB B English and Chinese were shared, encouraging educators to adopt evolving pedagogical approaches.



The workshop concluded with group discussions, fostering a collaborative environment where teachers reflected on the presentations, exchanged ideas, and worked together to promote ongoing improvement within the program.
