Grade 12 Assembly: Exploration of Traditional Chinese Medicine
On the morning of November 22, during the Grade 12 assembly, Camilla from Class 12(6) delivered a unique presentation on her exploration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Her talk featured a documentary she created, filled with fascinating insights and thought-provoking stories.
Camilla’s passion for TCM led her to conduct in-depth research and travel across the country to interview a diverse range of individuals, including doctors, scholars, biology teachers, and patients who have undergone TCM treatments. Her documentary not only delves into the history and principles of TCM but also examines its applications and controversies in modern medicine.
During her presentation, Camilla shared video clips and her personal reflections, encouraging her peers to consider the relationship between traditional medicine and modern science. She emphasized the importance of respecting cultural medical practices while maintaining a critical perspective on their scientific basis. Her engaging and insightful sharing on that Friday sparked interest among her classmates, leaving them with a deeper understanding of TCM and its relevance today. The presentation concluded with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
