Getting into the World of Civil and Commercial Law — New Beyond Course Opened

This semester, the Beyond course offers a new elective – Civil and Commercial Law in Life. The course invites a wide range of legal professionals, including university professors, high court judges, senior lawyers, etc. The course starts with the topic about civil capacity, and then covers many fields such as civil and criminal law comparison, company law, economic study of law, anti-trust law, dispute resolution, and international moot court competitions.



Every Wednesday in the first half of the semester, students learned about the application of civil and commercial law in life from different perspectives. They learned about the various considerations and reasons for designing the age of civil capacity, the reasons for setting up a company and the principles of corporate governance, the relationship between economic principles and law, etc. They gained valuable and practical legal knowledge and apprehended the depth of the theoretical thinking behind it.



The lecturers put a lot of efforts into the teaching at SHSID, and on the basis of profound knowledge and experience, they further take care of the attributes of the high schooler audience, and vividly show the essence of knowledge in their respective fields.



The follow-up course in the second half of the semester will focus on different ways of dispute resolution. Senior international moot court competition coaches and team members will guide students to actually experience the process of civil and commercial dispute resolution through arbitration. We hope that students will learn more about the role and application of law in their daily lives through this valuable opportunity.
