Grade 9 CAS Activity: A Vibrant Celebration of Creativity and Teamwork
On April 30, during the CAS class, the ninth-grade students participated in a series of diverse and engaging activities. Organized by their activity monitors, the students enthusiastically participated in various activities, including plaster painting, minefield challenges, musical chairs, collage poetry, "Magical Brush Ma Liang," dominoes, and hand knitting, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere.
Some classes opted for the team-building "Minefield" game. In this activity, groups of 4-6 students took turns sending out a "blindfolded" teammate, who relied on precise verbal guidance from their peers to navigate obstacles and reach the finish line. This exercise tested teamwork and coordination and strengthened communication and trust among participants.
Other classes immersed themselves in artistic creations. The collage poetry group carefully selected dried flowers and plants, skillfully combining natural elements with clipped phrases to craft unique poetic works. Meanwhile, in the plaster painting area, students unleashed their creativity, transforming plain white plaster models into vibrant, one-of-a-kind artworks with colorful designs.
The musical chairs game brought even more excitement. After the host explained the rules, the students moved around the chairs to the rhythm of the music. When the music suddenly stopped, the players quickly reacted, scrambling for seats. After several intense rounds, the final winner emerged. The subsequent free-team individual battles further heightened the energy, pushing the atmosphere to new heights.
These thoughtfully designed activities not only honed the students' reflexes, teamwork, and artistic creativity but, more importantly, fostered stronger friendships and enhanced class cohesion through enjoyable interactions. After the event, the students expressed great satisfaction and looked forward to more such collective activities in the future.
