Puxi Campus G8 | April Assembly
On April 29th, all eighth-grade teachers and students gathered in the auditorium for the April Grade Assembly to reflect on the vibrant school life over the past month. The assembly commenced with a comprehensive and inspiring summary speech by Ms. Shirley, who reviewed the numerous activities held that had taken place, such as the English Speech competition, the Midterm exams, the homework check, the Highschool course introductions, the SL groups’ reflection and evaluation, and the Basketball competition. These activities not only enriched the students' extracurricular lives but also showcased the eighth graders' spirit of unity, collaboration, and determination.
Afterwards, Ms. Shirley announced the gold and silver rated SL groups, both of which have a chance to be noted for their excellence. The gold rated groups are: Story buddy, MFP, Katadog, Photography group, SciAcademy, Dynamic Donation Organization, PRIMO, and Artistic Media; Meanwhile, the silver rated groups are: Tutoring group, Tales for Tomorrow, Dare to Dream, ECOCAP, Smile Charity, MediShine, Indigo, STUSOC, Booker Librarian, UniStar, Supporting Education, PAPILLON, Goodball, The Gazette, and News Group. All of these groups have contributed much, both on and off campus, and that day, the school applauded their achievements with loud cheers and heartfelt appreciation. The recognition not only celebrated their dedication and hard work but also encouraged other groups to continue striving for excellence. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of achievement and mutual respect, as students and teachers alike acknowledged the impact of these groups in fostering a supportive school community.
Then, Ms. Shirley announced the Star Classes, which are classes 8(1), 8(4), 8(5), 8(6), 8(10), and 8(11). These classes stood out in various activities throughout the month, and they earned widespread praise from teachers and students for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and outstanding performance. The recognition of these classes served as an inspiration for others to emulate their dedication and positive attitude. Subsequently, the teachers presented the "Academic Excellence Award", the “Academic Rapid Progress Award”, and the "Resilient Problem-Solver Award" to students who excelled in different fields. These awards recognized students who demonstrated exceptional intelligence, perseverance, and problem-solving skills, and whose remarkable performances earned enthusiastic applause from the audience. The ceremony of awarding these honors was a proud moment, highlighting individual achievements and inspiring others to pursue excellence with passion.
The assembly concluded with applause, as April’s efforts and celebrations became a source of inspiration for the road ahead, leaving the teachers and students ready to tackle the upcoming challenges and opportunities that May would bring, with a shared commitment to making their school year memorable and meaningful.
