Grade 10 Assembly: TEDx Event and “My College” Sharing

May 9, 2025

On the morning of May 7, 2025, Grade 10 students gathered again in the lecture hall on the B1 floor of the Zhongxing Building for a thought-provoking and informative morning assembly. As the AP exam season begins, many students will soon enter the testing rooms to put their year-long efforts to the test. To ensure a smooth experience, Ms. Wu provided a final briefing for all AP candidates, offering essential reminders and support.

The assembly continued with an introduction to SHSID’s upcoming TEDx event. Two Grade 11 students gave an overview of the June 21 TEDx Talks and extended an open invitation to the Grade 10 students. TEDx is a platform for public speaking and a space for meaningful storytelling, where students are encouraged to explore a topic they truly care about and share their unique perspectives and personal journeys on stage.

To conclude the assembly, Layla delivered a well-structured and practical “My College” sharing session. She introduced how to effectively use the CIAFO platform to explore universities, highlighting factors such as location, admissions data, and academic offerings. Her clear and insightful presentation provided valuable guidance for students preparing to plan their own university pathways.
