Puxi Campus G6 | Assembly: Star of Accountability
On Friday morning, all Grade 6 teachers and students gathered at the His Building Auditorium, for a meaningful grade assembly. Hosted by Grade Supervisor Ms. Wu Wenyi, the event focused on moral education and aimed to inspire students to take responsibility and act proactively by setting positive examples.
At the beginning of the assembly, Mr. Seevers, Mr. Stanley, Mr. Wang Qiwei, and Mr. Meng Yingtao presented certificates and prizes to the "Stars of Accountability" selected last month. These students have demonstrated strong awareness of responsibility in both their studies and daily lives, serving as role models for their peers.
Following this, Doreen from Class 9, Claire from Class 8, and Alice from Class 12 shared their experiences as award recipients. Doreen drew upon her participation in the Shanghai Youth Innovation Thinking Competition and quoted, "The movement of a roc (great bird) is not driven by the lightness of a single feather," highlighting the importance of teamwork. Claire and Alice shared stories from their debate team journey, stating that while it's essential to follow rules during competitions, it's even more crucial to build strong collaborative relationships through mutual understanding and coordination in order to achieve the best team performance under the coach’s guidance.
Through recognizing outstanding peers, this "Star of Accountability" selection activity helped students better understand the true meaning of responsibility, encouraging them to develop good character traits such as being accountable for themselves, committed to others, and responsible toward the collective — laying a solid foundation for their overall growth.
