2025 SHSID High School New Teacher Orientation Held
On June 25, 2025, Shanghai High School International Division (SHSID) High School welcomed a cohort of new educators filled with passion for teaching. To support their smooth transition, the school organized a comprehensive one-day training program. This initiative aimed to help new faculty members integrate into the academic environment, understand the school’s cultural ethos and core educational philosophy, and prepare thoroughly for the upcoming semester.
The program was coordinated by Ms. Liu Shan, Director of the High School Teaching Affairs Center. It covered key areas including the school’s educational vision, an in-depth analysis of its specialized curriculum system, discussions on diverse teaching methodologies, and campus management protocols. The well-structured, content-rich schedule exemplified SHSID’s distinctive teaching principles of being "student-centered, process-focused, and efficiency-oriented."
During the event, new teachers had the privilege to attend the awards ceremony for the High School Division of the 2025 Educators for Future Award. First-prize winners shared their instructional design approaches, classroom implementation insights, and professional growth experiences with sincerity, offering practical inspiration and valuable models for their new colleagues.
This training not only provided new teachers with a clear understanding of the school’s operational framework but also quietly wove bonds for peer collaboration, mutual learning, and professional growth. New faculty members widely acknowledged the program’s relevance and practicality, praising its warm and inspiring atmosphere. They expressed both a deepened sense of responsibility and heightened enthusiasm as they embark on their teaching journey at SHSID.
