Puxi Campus G6: Clubs Spark Passion, Manners Shape Character

September 5, 2025

As the new semester begins, Grade 6 students in the International Division are embracing both diverse club activities and engaging character education programs, creating dual opportunities for interest development and personal growth.

Academic support clubs like the "Homework Club" provide a quiet study environment and teacher assistance. The "English Poetry Society" encourages students to explore poetry and freely express their thoughts. The "Photography Club" guides members in capturing life through the lens and learning photographic techniques. The "International History Knowledge Competition (IHBB)," "Sinan Literature Club," and "Chinese Debate Club" are welcoming new members, aiming to enhance critical thinking and cultural literacy.

While emphasizing academic and interest development, the school consistently implements the CME (Character and Moral Education) curriculum. In the "Good Manners" thematic instruction, teachers vividly demonstrate the importance of civility and etiquette. Students personally experience how to greet, express gratitude, and apologize appropriately, gaining an understanding of the importance of respecting others and communicating with kindness. These activities not only make learning enjoyable but also help students internalize behavioral norms as conscious actions.

Various club opportunities combined with character education not only enrich after-school life but also provide valuable pathways for holistic development. Students are encouraged to actively participate, striving for growth while helping build a positive, respectful, and courteous school community.
