A Glimpse into Excellence: GT Racing, Research, and Choir Highlight Sophomore Assembly
The third sophomore assembly of the year, held on September 17, 2025, commenced with a dynamic promotional video for GT Racing. This Star Club, renowned for its consistent success in regional competitions, set an inspiring tone for the event. Following the video, two distinguished members of the GT Racing club delivered a captivating speech that grasped the students' attention.
Next, a student representative who had excelled in the Global Youth Academic Research Enrichment Program presented the key findings and insights gleaned from his experience. He detailed his two-month journey of intensive research, writing, and consistent collaboration with a teaching assistant and professor. Furthermore, he offered the sophomores advice on selecting summer programs, emphasizing a crucial insight: the value of such an experience is determined not by the prestige of the host institution, but by its alignment with one’s personal goals and intellectual interests.
After this presentation on summer opportunities, the club BlueBalloon promoted its mission. Dedicated to teaching essential English speaking skills to middle school students, the club presented its vision for expansion and recruitment.
To conclude the assembly, the mixed choir team delivered a harmonious performance. Their aim was to showcase the club's talent and attract new members from within the sophomore group, with the hope of discovering hidden potential among their peers.
