Grade 9 Assembly: Growth and Opportunities
On September 16, G9 students gathered for a morning assembly that highlighted guidance, innovation, and community engagement.
The event opened with an introduction from the three college counseling teachers, who outlined how they will support students in navigating academic choices and preparing for future opportunities. Their encouraging words reassured students that they would receive not only practical advice but also emotional support as they plan ahead.
Next, representatives introduced Hongmei Primary School Teaching Program, emphasizing how students can give back to the community while forming meaningful connections. The initiative was warmly received as a chance to extend learning beyond the classroom. The spotlight then shifted to the FTC Club, where leaders invited students to explore creativity through hands-on projects. They described opportunities to design, build, and compete, stressing teamwork and innovation as central values. Finally, CYANO club shared their mission of environmental awareness and action. From recycling initiatives to their upcoming participation in a cross-school summit on October 25, the club encouraged peers to think critically about sustainability and join collective efforts to tackle ecological challenges.
The assembly ended with a strong sense of unity and purpose. Whether through counseling, charity, engineering, or environmental action, the message was clear: students have the tools and support to grow, give back, and make a difference.
