Grade 12 Assembly: Time Management
On April 24, Adeline and Victoria delivered an intriguing speech at the senior assembly on the topic of time management. However, Adeline introduced a surprising twist when she shifted the focus of the speech to game recommendations. The first type of game discussed was browser games. She presented several games that support multiple players and listed the pros and cons for each. For example, the classic game "Minesweeper" was described as easy to play and addictive but potentially tedious. Her presentation evoked childhood memories among the audience.
Next, Adeline turned to games available on the STEAM platform. From the pixel design to the innovative gameplay, she detailed the rules of each game, providing a comprehensive overview for students unfamiliar with the platform. She also showed short clips of each game for further illustration.
At the end of their speech, Adeline demonstrated how to play “Overcooked! 2” to the entire audience. Amid the students' laughter, they provided a unique and entertaining conclusion to the assembly. Their innovative approach to combining games with life skills training was a refreshing twist that made this assembly particularly memorable for everyone involved.
