Grade 9 Assembly: Survival Training Safety Education

On April 23, the ninth graders in SHSID went on their first assembly after midterms. This time, the head teacher of grade nine Ms. Wu gave the freshmen a lecture about safety education in order to prepare the students for the upcoming survival training.

For starters, Ms. Wu introduced the ninth graders to the activities that were to take place during survival training—teambuilding activities, island hiking, navigation activities, bamboo raft building, camp cooking, leave no trace activity, and camping…… After seeing vivid pictures of previous freshmen having fun during survival training, many ninth graders seemingly became more interested in the survival training program. Right after that brief introduction to survival training activities, Ms. Wu also listed the important requirements for survival training: discipline, safety, things forbidden, and things to bring on that day……

Lastly, Ms. Wu also displayed the t-shirt that Andrea from 9(6) made for the grade as a grade uniform during survival training. After looking at the pretty and cute cartoon printed on the t-shirt, all freshman students gave Andrea a big round of applause and thanks.

We wish all students would have fun during the survival training program and be safe while enjoying.
