Middle and Primary School Science and Technology Department: Winners of the 5th Shanghai Youth "Carbon" Quest Environmental Innovation Project Call for Entries

Recently, the final evaluation of the 5th Shanghai Youth "Carbon" Quest Environmental Innovation Project Call for Entries successfully concluded at the Shanghai Meteorological Museum. This competition was guided by the Shanghai Meteorological Service and the Shanghai Ocean Administration and jointly organized by the Shanghai Youth Science Promotion Association, the Shanghai Meteorological Society, the Shanghai Meteorological Service Publicity, Popularization and Education Center, and the Shanghai Ecological Society. Themed "100 Possibilities of Breathing with the Earth," the event aimed to stimulate teenagers' attention to and reflection on climate change and environmental protection, while cultivating their scientific innovation capabilities and concept of sustainable development. After intense competition, the project results from the elementary and middle school division students of Shanghai High School International Division stood out, winning two first prizes, two second prizes, and six third prizes. Additionally, our school received the Outstanding Organization Award, showcasing the exceptional research strength and innovative ability of our students and science innovation team.

The outstanding achievements fully demonstrate the significant results of our school in environmental science and technology education, interdisciplinary integration practices, and the cultivation of students' innovative abilities. Our school will continue to uphold green and innovative educational concepts, encourage students to pay attention to real-world problems, dare to explore the unknown, and continuously improve their scientific literacy and comprehensive practical abilities.
