History and Geography Department: Grade 8 Geography Project Exhibition

November 13, 2025

 Observing the Splendor of Nature
Mapping the Dynamics of Plate Movement

Recently, our eighth-grade Geography students proudly presented "Exhibition Earth," – An interactive showcase of students’ works pertaining to Earth’s natural splendor and the dynamic processes changing our planet on the third floor of Building B in the Hsi Buiding.

Across all levels, students worked both in teams and individually to create models featuring North American national parks, tectonic movements, and our futuristic Earth as a supercontinent!

Some students created representations of North American national parks. Utilizing their research skills and displaying their craftsmanship, students constructed models of these parks and advertised their parks with a digitally designed brochure.

Some students worked as teams to represent these parks and other physical features from their origin until now, highlighting the aspects of dynamic change and the forces of erosion that shape our planet.

Some students applied their critical thinking skills to sketch out a future planetary supercontinent, considering and annotating changes of major tectonic shifts across our Earth through the creation of their own “supercontinent model.”

During the showcase, students are challenged with finding clues to solve riddles related to projects on display, allowing them to immerse themselves into the hard work of their peers, as well as to win wonderful prizes! As exams grow closer, Exhibition Earth is a wonderful way for students to engage with and reflect on core concepts from the past several weeks.

We cordially invite all teachers and students to visit the exhibition and journey across our planet within this dedicated space. Through the works of our eighth-grade students, let's read the billion-year memories of Earth and feel its enduring, vibrant pulse.
