Sciences Po Delegation Visits SHSID

November 21, 2025

On the morning of November 20, 2025, a delegation from Sciences Po, led by Jeremy Perelman, Vice President for International Affairs, visited Shanghai High School.

Principal Feng Zhigang, Head of Shanghai High School, SHSID High School Principal Ma Feng and Vice Principal Zhang Li, welcomed the visitors. This was Vice President Perelman’s first trip to China, and Shanghai High School was the only secondary school he visited. The two sides exchanged the views on curriculum design, talent cultivation, and future development, and presented commemorative gifts.

At 12:30 p.m., an information session was held in the Zhongxing Building Theater, drawing nearly one hundred SHSID high school students. The event opened with a bilingual recital by two Grade 10 French learners, followed by a cross-cultural interpretation. Vice President Perelman then spoke about his academic journey and introduced the learning environment, campus culture, and international vision of Sciences Po. Students actively participated in the Q&A session, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.

This semester, SHSID has welcomed more than 30 university visits, including Dartmouth College, Duke University, the University of Chicago, Washington University in St. Louis, Rice University, and the University of Southern California from the United States; the University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia from Canada; University College London and King’s College London from the United Kingdom; the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Baptist University from Hong Kong SAR; the National University of Singapore; and the Australian National University.

The visit from Sciences Po provided SHSID students with a valuable opportunity to learn about a world-renowned institution and further strengthened the school’s connections with global higher education partners. Looking ahead, SHSID will continue to expand international collaborations and create broader, more diverse pathways for students.
