Puxi Campus G7 | IL sharing and Midterm Review Game

April 19, 2024

On April 11th, a week before midterm exams, a special review activity took place during the 7th grade Youth Development class. In this session, the students were led by their homeroom teachers in IL sharing and review games to prepare them for their tests.

At the beginning of the school year, each student in Year 7 carefully established his or her own smart goals, academic or otherwise, and now, halfway through the semester, it is a good opportunity to review what they have accomplished. Referring to the goals they set at the beginning of the semester, some students felt that they had made some progress because they had followed through and accomplished them. Some students felt that they had not stuck to them and so resolved to make adjustments and build on their efforts in the second half of the semester. Through the IL sharing in the first YD class, the students reflected on their progress and learned a lot of effective self-management and time management methods. We hope that all of our students will continue to make progress in the next chapter of their academic lives and work hard to achieve their goals.

One week ago, the G7 ASB students began combining carefully selected topics for the scope and test points of the midterm exam for each subject at each level to make a comprehensive review PowerPoint. These topics were chosen to help students to sort out the key points, and check and fill any knowledge gaps. This material was meticulously put together for students who were nervous about preparing for the exam. In preparation of the review activity, the homeroom teachers selected students who excelled at the subjects to serve as game’s hosts. These students then hosted the general review of each subject in the form of group competition. The hosts of each subject gave full play to their talents, mobilized students to actively participate, and stimulated the enthusiasm for review.

The two lessons were full of thrill and joy, and the students felt a renewed sense of motivated to succeed. We believe that in the mid-term exam, the students will be in a better state to meet the challenge and achieve excellent results.
