Decoding Infinite Visionaries Award: Empowering Future Philanthropy
On December the 3rd, the representative of the Infinite Visionaries award, Ms. Zhu, hosted an information session in SHSID regarding the award’s highlights and expectations. She encouraged students to pay attention and extract lessons from previous success stories and implement them in their own projects. Students actively participated in the lecture and consulted with representatives on project details.
First, Ms. Zhu explained the purpose of the Infinite Visionaries award: The award supports teenagers from 12 to 18 years old and empowers them to present their own public welfare projects that align with the UN’s SDG goals. She narrated the award’s principle values: to create a social impact and to think out of the box. Ms. Zhu then went into detail about the opportunities the award offers. Especially, she talked about the challenging but rewarding role as the award’s ambassador—the highest valued award, with two students selected in total each year. Then Ms. Zhu shared past outstanding welfare projects that earned the Infinite Visionaries award.

Ms. Zhu concluded her information session by encouraging students to benefit people around them and themselves. She motivated students to try their best, not just for the award, but to make the world a better place.
After the lecture, a number of students stayed to present their projects and ideas to the representatives, discussing how to turn them into reality and voicing their resolve to throw themselves into public welfare initiatives.
