Grade 11 Assembly: Aspirations for Scientific Pursuits, Delights Blossom in the Morning Session
The morning assembly on December 18 was rich and rewarding with remarkable highlights. At the event, Simon took the lead to share his valuable experience in competing in the ST Yao Science Innovation Competition. He broke down the entire competition process into three core stages and elaborated on the key preparation points for each phase in meticulous detail.

Simon mentioned that the questions raised by the competition judges mainly focused on two aspects: first, the future development plan of the project; second, the origin of the research interest. In the global final, besides the regular project presentation, a mentor presentation segment was specially added, where mentors comprehensively introduced the whole process of guiding students to carry out research projects. In addition, Simon also generously shared three golden secrets for competition preparation: first, to have a thorough grasp of one’s own research content; second, to make full preparations in advance to calmly respond to all kinds of questions related to paper details; third, to ensure that the project presentation is clear and fluent in expression as well as rigorous and coherent in logic through repeated simulation demonstrations.

After Simon’s experience-sharing session drew to a close, one enthusiastic activity promotions followed in quick succession. David brought a recommendation for the Calculingo Club. The club does not organize usual weekly group activities, instead, it requires its members to finish one integral problem practice every day, aiming to help everyone steadily improve their mathematical abilities in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
