High School | Closing the Year with Warmth: Welcoming the New with Blessings

At noon on December 30, 2025, the Teacher Advisor Office hosted the 2026 New Year Fair Event on the main lawn in front of the Zhongxing Building. Centered on the theme “Printing New Year Blessings,” the event invited students and teachers to slow down at the end of the semester, reflect on their emotions, and conclude the year with warmth and meaning as they look ahead to the new year.

Continuing the Teacher Advisor Office’s ongoing commitment to student well-being and emotional support, the event combined lighthearted, engaging activities with a strong sense of ritual. It created a shared campus space where participants could release stress, express good wishes, and experience connection. The fair attracted a large number of students and faculty members, filling the lawn with a warm and joyful atmosphere.

On the day of the event, red decorations and festive New Year elements adorned the Zhongxing Building lawn, creating a vibrant and celebratory setting. The “Printing New Year Blessings” station quickly became a popular attraction. Guided by student volunteers, students secured Fu character templates on top of the red paper and gently dabbed paint using sponge brushes to create their own prints. Each careful motion not only offered an experience rooted in traditional culture but also symbolized carrying personal hopes and blessings into the coming year.

The toss-and-win prize station was equally well received. Students lined up eagerly at the target stands, focusing their aim and enjoying the thrill of each throw. Successful tosses were rewarded with small New Year prizes, bringing laughter and a sense of good fortune as participants welcomed the year ahead.

Building on a much-loved tradition from previous years, the Free Hug Station once again became one of the warmest highlights of the event. The familiar frog mascot returned to the lawn, offering comforting hugs to passing students and teachers. This year, the event also introduced a new guest—an elegantly designed penguin mascot with a calm and refined presence. Together, these two special visitors conveyed kindness and companionship in different ways, turning simple interactions into moments of emotional comfort and support that students deeply appreciated.

The New Year Fair also naturally complemented the Gratitude Wall activity organized by the Teacher Advisor Office earlier in December. While participating in the fair, many students paused to revisit the wall filled with messages of thanks and well wishes—expressing gratitude to others, to shared experiences, and to themselves. This reflection offered a meaningful emotional review and sense of closure at the end of the year.
Through this series of activities, the Teacher Advisor Office aims to provide a supportive yet relaxed environment where students and faculty can pause amid their busy lives, reflect on the past, and move forward into the new year with warmth, strength, and hope.
