Lin'gang Campus: Art Exhibition

January 8, 2026

What happens when the imagination of young children meets the skilled artistry of high school students? This month, the art exhibition "Cornered Views, New Perspectives", jointly held by SHSID Lin'gang Campus and ESHS, opened warmly. Over 60 paintings captured shared beauty, seen through the eyes of different ages and viewpoints.

Walking into the exhibition hall feels like stepping into two moments of campus life at once. On one side are the bright and lively paintings of Grade 1 to Grade 3 students from Lin'gang Campus. The sun seems warm and welcoming. The lawn is full of movement during lunch break. A girl with a ponytail kicks a football toward the goal, while a boy plays happily in the sand. On the third-floor playground, children slide, climb, and jump with joy. Some paintings even include cats and cartoon characters, as if these lovely friends are part of the school day.

On the other side are the paintings by high school students. Their works feel calmer and more thoughtful. The building is painted in soft light at sunset. The windows reflect the blue sky. Leaves near the school gate glow with autumn colors. Through light and shadow, these paintings show the students' affection for their campus.

After the exhibition opened, the art class became the liveliest of all. When children found their own paintings, they stood a little taller and spoke with pride. "That's me playing football." "The third-floor playground is my favorite place." "I painted the sunset I saw with my mom." "This is how I stood at the school gate."

Some children pointed at the high school students' paintings and said with surprise, "That's our school! From above, the classroom windows look like small squares." Nearby, the high school students smiled and shared their thoughts. "I really like the kitten in that picture," one said. Another added, "I didn't know the younger children noticed the sunset. It was beautiful."

As the exhibition preface says, true beauty is often found in the corners we usually pass by. This exhibition is not about skill or age, it is about how different students see the same campus in their own way. Children paint with pure joy and honesty. Teenagers paint with growing depth and care. Together, their works give the campus a fresh and meaningful new look.
