Puxi Campus G1: Project Week: Brings Habitats to Life in the Classroom
Classrooms were buzzing with creativity during Project Week, as students explored habitats through a hands-on, cross-curricular learning experience. Over the course of the week, English, Science, and Show & Tell lessons were transformed into research hubs, craft stations, and presentation spaces.

The week began with students diving into habitat research, asking questions, learning new vocabulary, and planning how they would represent their chosen environment. Books, discussions, and guided research helped students build a strong foundation before moving on to the creative stages of the project.

Midweek, classrooms became busy workshops as students designed and constructed habitat dioramas. Shoeboxes were transformed into deserts, oceans, forests, and polar regions, complete with plants, animals, and key non-living features. Students worked carefully and creatively, bringing their research to life in three dimensions.

Alongside their dioramas, students wrote postcards describing their habitats. They focused on sharing clear facts in English while explaining what makes each environment unique. These written pieces helped students organize their ideas in preparation for speaking.

The week concluded with Show and Tell presentations, where students confidently presented their habitats to their classmates. They spoke about the climate, identified important features, and proudly explained their models, demonstrating both understanding and growing confidence in English.

Project Week was a vibrant celebration of learning, creativity, and communication. It gave students the opportunity to explore scientific concepts while developing language proficiency and confidence—skills that were clearly on display throughout the week.
