Grade 11 Parents’ Meeting Held

April 13, 2026

On the evening of April 9th, amidst the growing warmth of spring, a heartwarming and meaningful Grade 11 parents’ meeting was held on campus. This was not only an opportunity for enhanced home-school communication, but also a relay of experience and dreams. To help Grade 11 students and their parents better understand the diverse pathways to global university applications, the school specially invited newly admitted seniors from the Class of 2026—who have received offers from universities around the world—to share their growth insights, journeys of self-exploration, as well as practices and reflections on the path to further study.

The parents’ meeting began with all attendees gathering in the Annex Auditorium of Xianmian Building. First, Ms. Cui from the College Counseling Office took the stage. She outlined key milestones and resource strategies for the application season, helping families establish a scientific and clear action framework. Subsequently, Ms. Zhang Li, Vice Principal of High School, shared insights on the core principles and strategies of college applications. She explained the importance of application integrity, and further guided parents and students to understand that a so-called "competitive personal profile" is essentially a natural presentation of students’ personal growth. She also reminded parents that the college application process is more of a growth journey—one where they accompany their children to learn responsibility, develop planning skills, and build resilience against stress.

Next, parent representatives of senior students shared their firsthand experiences. They put forward three warm and practical suggestions: stay calm and be a steady anchor for your child; trust the school’s professional guidance; trust your child and give them space to grow. Their sincere sharing resonated deeply with the audience.

Finally, Principal Ma Feng took the podium. He started by sharing the latest college admission results of the graduating class, explaining the students’ self-breakthroughs, interest cultivation, and character development behind these impressive achievements. He analyzed the long-term impact of personal growth on future development and reminded everyone to maintain a balanced mindset. Principal Ma emphasized that the school has built a platform for home-school communication and peer support, and empowers students to unlock their potential through rich resources. It is this commitment to "cultivating personal growth" that enabled the school to achieve breakthrough results in the 2026 college admissions. He also offered advice on how to choose and balance various high school activities, encouraging junior students to stay grounded and move forward with confidence.

After the keynote session, the event moved to the classrooms of Xianmian Building for the highly anticipated senior sharing session. Five parallel breakout sessions were offered, covering application guidance for different universities across different countries. A special session on “How to Parent During College Applications” was also held. In each session, the seniors shared their stories of self-discovery, goal-setting and overcoming challenges in high school, as well as insights on time management, essay refinement, and ways to maintain mental well-being during the application process. They urged juniors to cherish their high school years, deepen their interests, and grow into their best selves. At the same time, they encouraged parents to become warm, steady supporters behind their children.

As the sharing sessions came to an end, many parents continued to engage in lively discussions with the seniors and college counselors. This parents’ meeting not only provided Grade 11 families with practical application guidance but also conveyed a warm sense of community—a genuine hand extended from seniors to underclassmen, and a mutual journey of love and responsibility between home and school.

We extend our best wishes to our seniors as they continue their journey of self-discovery and embark on a new and exciting chapter of university life. We also encourage our Grade 11 students to carry forward the spirit and legacy of the seniors, moving ahead with confidence and determination as they pursue their dreams and create their own achievements.
