Puxi Campus G1: Tongue Twister Competition
"Dun stick long, stool wide, Dun stick wants to tie on the stool…”
“Stars fill the sky, lanterns fill the ground, stars shine in the heavenly court…”
Various tongue twisters resounded through the corridors of the first grade, delivered at a lightning-fast pace with clear pronunciation. As it turns out, the grade one students of Puxi are participating in a tongue twister competition.
When the competition commenced, every child blushed, some even felt a bit nervous. However, with the encouragement of the audience, one by one, they took to the stage and began their one-minute speeches. Their voices were loud and powerful, a result of a month-long practice.
The competition progressed with enthusiasm as the children showcased their eloquence and confidence, truly admirable. Each child tried their best to display their abilities, repeating tongue twisters and challenging their limits with agile articulation. They seemed to transform into little artists, using their voices to showcase their talents.
Amidst the cheers of the audience, the competition neared its end. The final countdown began, and the children increased their pace, not wasting a single second. Everyone wanted to recite more tongue twisters in the last moments, vying for a chance at victory. To everyone’s amazement, the fastest child managed to recite 13 nursery rhymes in just one minute.
This tongue twister competition brought endless laughter and growth to the first-grade students. Through this activity, they not only practiced their elocution and expressive abilities but also developed their confidence and courage. These valuable experiences will accompany them as they grow, enabling them to shine on future stages.
