Grade 11 CAS: Autumn Campus Tour
On October 25, a sunny afternoon, during the CAS period, eleventh-grade students embarked on a "Learn and Play" trip with a mission to collect five stamps by completing diverse tasks across the campus. These tasks blended physical challenges with subject-related questions, allowing students to display their physical prowess and intellectual capabilities. The quickest group to complete the challenges would earn a prize.
Excited and chattering about, the students quickly dispersed throughout the campus along with their teammates. Their first task took place in an Xianmian classroom, where they answered Chinese questions and tested their accuracy with darts. The students exchanged satisfied glances after obtaining their initial stamps. Next, near the Lawson store, students engaged in shuttlecock kicking and tackled STEM-related questions. While many struggled with the shuttlecock, they triumphed through perseverance and teamwork. The third stop was at the outdoor basketball court, combining English questions with the challenge of pumping a wooden gyro. Outside the school cafeteria, at the fourth stop, students faced humanities questions while participating in jump-rope activities. The final challenge, outside Zhentao Building, involved math questions and tossing three sacks into a circle.
This mission not only tested the students' diverse abilities, but also provided a welcome break during a stressful period leading up to midterms. It highlighted the importance of holistic education, where physical and intellectual growth go hand-in-hand, fostering well-rounded individuals for the future.
