Puxi Grade 3: Reading Buddy Activities

November 9, 2022

In the personal growth class on November 8th, the third graders at Puxi campus welcomed some special friends -- our eighth graders brought their favorite books to share with them.

The children in each class were divided into several groups, and they all sat in a group around the "little teachers" and listened with relish. The children asked questions from time to time while listening to stories. They discussed the ups and downs of the plots and shared their views on the protagonists together. There were other children who were reminded of similar books they’d read in the past by the stories they heard and now they are eager to share them too.

In the reading buddy activity between third and eighth graders, knowledge and ideas of different age groups collided here, with the third graders receiving reading guidance from their peers in higher grades, and eighth graders developing their ability to tell stories. More importantly, they all further experienced the joy of reading in this activity.
