These included real-world application, simulation games, and flipped learning. Then, Ms. Mulchinock talked about some practical techniques on teaching large-sized classes. For example, she uses differentiation strategies on students at different levels and with different personalities, and she also mentioned strategies of classroom set-up and questioning. Lastly, Mr. Chu used the unit plan of “Global Perspective” as an example to explain how to design a good lesson plan based on different dimensions of teaching objectives. He introduced the reading, writing, and researching goals in theory, and explained how to scientifically slice up the lesson time for different teaching activities to reach those goals.
