Opening Ceremony of grade 9-10

The Opening Ceremony of grade 9-10 for Shanghai High School International Division students was held at the Auditorium on the second of March 2015.

Ms. Min Liu, director of grade 9-10, first presented a video about last semester’s activities and some pictures about the newly built Annex building to all the students. Some upcoming activities, like the science fair, spelling bee, sports day, and course day, were introduced and explained. Teacher Advisor Program will also help all the students devote into their courses and extracurricular activities for future success.

Mr. Feng Ma, the SHSID high school principal, illustrated a “big tree theory” to all the students. As a tree needs years, nutrition, earth and sunshine to grow higher, bigger and stronger, a student needs to put in effort from the very beginning for years, take advantage of all kinds of school resources, and fully develop his personality and ability, while always keeping a positive disposition towards studying work and school life.

Student and ASB delegates from grade 9 and 10 presented their ideas and expectations for the new semester. Students who had achievements with GPA, BQH, social activities, and sports were awarded, and enjoyed an important and memorable moment.
