Notice on Summer Vacation and Safety Reminder
Dear students and parents,
The summer vacation for the 2023 academic year has begun. The new semester is scheduled to start on September 2, 2024, and all students are expected to return to school on September 1. Before the start of school, the homeroom teachers will contact parents in advance to inform them of related matters.
Holiday Reminders
(1) Fire prevention, electrical safety, and drowning prevention
Pay attention to fire and electricity safety. Do not play with fire and do not connect wires without permission. Be sure to turn off electrical equipment when going out to prevent fires. If you find a fire, call 119 immediately. Parents should conduct a safety risk investigation before the summer vacation to promptly eliminate safety hazards that may cause fires, electric shocks, burns, falls, and other injuries, and provide a safe family living environment for juvenile students.
Don't swim alone or go to unfamiliar waters, don't play dangerous water sports, and don't play in the swimming pool. If you find a drowning person, immediately seek adult assistance and throw lifebuoys, foam boards, lifelines, etc. to the drowning person, but don't recklessly rescue them.
(2) Traffic and Travel Safety
Obey traffic rules and do not violate prohibition signs. Do not ride bicycles under the age of 12 and do not ride electric bicycles under the age of 16. Those who ride electric bicycles under the age of 12 should wear safety helmets in a standardized manner. When walking or riding, do not look at mobile phones, listen to music, or play around. In case of extreme weather, wear eye-catching clothes and avoid dangerous objects such as billboards, transformers, distribution boxes, high-voltage wires, etc. Do not play or fight in the entrance and exit of motor vehicles, on the roadside or in the blind zone of vehicles. Obey the rules for taking public transportation vehicles. Do not cross the railway tracks at will, do not walk on the railway tracks or play at railway crossings.
If you are going to travel, please learn about the weather, traffic and other conditions of the destination in advance, and prepare necessary items such as medicine and clothing. Do not travel to areas with frequent geological disasters. In case of extreme weather, do not go to dangerous areas such as mountains and river valleys for fun, and do not go for swimming in the water. Do not stop at places with danger signs, and do not take photos or videos in places where photography is prohibited. In case of emergencies, follow the command and respond calmly.
(3) Cybersecurity and Healthy Friendship
Control the use time of electronic devices such as mobile phones and computers, and do not indulge in the Internet. Do not share personal information about yourself, your family, and others online. Do not play violent, obscene, and other harmful online games that are detrimental to physical and mental health. Do not engage in cyberbullying. Be cautious about making friends online and meeting them in person. Do not participate in cash recharge, "gift" purchase, online payment, and other types of reward services to prevent online fraud.
Get along well with classmates and friends. Don't use dirty words or sarcasm when chatting or playing. If there are conflicts or disputes, calm down first. If the conflict escalates, seek the help of teachers and parents timely.
(4) Mental Health and Physical Exercise
Keep a positive and optimistic attitude, communicate more with teachers, parents, classmates, and friends. Recognize your own efforts, learn to manage emotions, and live a happy life every day. When facing problems and challenges, don't be discouraged and build confidence. When your emotions fluctuate strongly, actively seek help from parents, teachers, or psychological hotlines such as 12355 and 962525.
Take an active part in physical exercise to enhance physical fitness and immunity. Develop the good habit of exercising for 2 hours a day and master 1-2 sports skills. Release stress and enjoy a healthy life through exercise.
(5) Reasonably arrange the work and rest during the holiday
Establish a schedule for work and rest, and allocate time reasonably for learning, rest, entertainment, and exercise. Schools actively recommend that primary school students should have at least 10 hours of sleep per day, junior high school students should have at least 9 hours of sleep per day, and high school students should have at least 8 hours of sleep per day. Carefully complete the summer homework assigned by teachers, consolidate the knowledge learned, and lay a solid foundation for the study in the new semester. At the same time, you can also use the summer vacation time to read classic books, improve reading ability and cultural literacy, or learn new skills and cultivate personal interests.
(6) Eye and Diet Health
Develop good eye habits. Avoid continuous close-range use of eyes, and take outdoor activities after reading and writing for 30 minutes, or look far away for about 10 minutes to relieve eye fatigue. Don't be picky about food, don't have a partiality for certain foods, eat more fruits and vegetables, and consume moderate amounts of fish, soy products, eggs and other high-quality proteins. Avoid sweet foods, carbonated drinks, and fried foods.

To protect children's healthy growth is our common goal and responsibility. We hope that parents can make reasonable arrangements for our students' summer life, strengthen parent-child interaction, guide them to keep regular schedules, exercise their bodies, cultivate interests, and participate in practical activities, thus effectively ensuring our students' physical and mental health. Wish you a rich, fulfilling, relaxed, and pleasant summer vacation!
